Lily of the Incas


Lily of the Incas is an attractive plant that is widely used in nosegays and other floral arrangements. Being cut they may live about two weeks.

For those who are going to grow this plant in the garden is very useful to know that Lily of the Incas is not an evergreen plant. It is better to grow it in the rock garden. It is very popular among people by its resemblance with a small lily. For its thriving in spring it is necessary to fertilize it with granular fertilizer every 3-4 months. Optionally one can use a liquid fertilizer every 20-25 days.

To keep the plant healthy it is better to put it in a place where he'll get at least a couple of hours of direct sunlight. One should not be afraid if during winter or autumn seasons the aerial part of the plant is dry, the plant will in spring.

The Lily of Incas should be watered not too often, it is necessary to wet the soil with about three glasses of water once a week.
